Recently completed design commissions
A small bungalow on the left was transformed into the impressive house on the right. The house, which has magnificent views over the North Wales coast was extended by the addition of a second storey. The new storey was timber framed and constructed by a company in Scotland. The structure was craned into place in a day and the structure made watertight in three days.
As with all the extensions, alterations and new dwellings shown here Lawrence Parry Associates designed the scheme and completed the architectural drawings and made the planning and building regulation applications on behalf of our clients.
These lower four images are of some other recently completed commissions.
They range from a stone clad garden room with specially made oak sliding folding doors and rooflighting to a new five bedroomed house in the countryside above Mostyn.
The fully glazed extension shown lower right involved removing the rear of the bungalow and extending out over two floors with a south west facing glazed roof to form an internal attrium.
The garden room (top left) was built onto the existing rather small kitchen and has resulted in a light and airy open space which combines kitchen, living room, and allows unfettered access into the garden.
The single storey bungalow shown top right incorporates many energy saving techniques. It was built on the site of a small cottage in a valley with a small stream running through it.
The house shown bottom left was again built on the site of a derelict cottage. The design of the house respects the vernacular stylethis part of North Wales
Our design philosophy
All our designs are formulated from the impression we get following our conversations with you, the client. We will explain to you what is and what isn't possible and will advise you on what is likely to be approved when making a planning application. If we think that you are unlikely to get planning approval because of policy constraints or because, in our experience, similar applications have been refused we will tell you, and will suggest what we think may succeed.
