An extension to a modern house that was designed to make full use of the southerly aspect and to open up the garden from the house.
The extension was designed to complement the materials of the existing house and, as it is situated in a conservation area, to blend in with the locality. Because of the extensive use of glass in this project special attention had to be paid to Part L of the Building Regulations which deal with the conservation of fuel and power and additional insulation was specified to compensate.
